Scouts, Scouters, and Friends of Owasippe: Let your voices be heard, but speak not only from your heart and soul but from solid logic and commen sense. By all means, please do your best to influence those who have the power to change institutions and to mold lives. They need to understand that the positive solution is to invest...NOT divest...and to seek creative and useful solutions...NOT a quick sale.

Ask the parties to reject the immediate motion to sell, buy some extra time to research an alternative to funding and program expansion, and assist endowment efforts with other funds available from within the council. Also, we must ask the CAC board to sustain current operations in-full at Owasippe that would allow Out-Of-Council units to still attend so that their fees can also help with our cash flow. Their attendance helps us greatly and helps those units offer a quality camping opportunity to their Scouts as well.
